A Commerce web store license includes a fixed number of secure domain licenses. Each license can be used for one secure domain. For example, if to set up three domains to support three different languages and currencies on your website, you can set them up as follows:

  • Language A - Combined Web Store and Checkout domain (uses one secure domain license)

  • Language B - Combined Web Store and Checkout domain(uses another secure domain license)

  • Language C - Non-secure Web Store domain with Custom Checkout domain (uses another secure domain)

However, if your Commerce web store license includes only two secure domain licenses, this setup is possible only if you purchase a third secure domain license. If you do not want to purchase an extra license, you can set up the domains as:

  • Language A - Combined Web Store and Checkout domain(this uses one secure domain license)

  • Language B - Combined Web Store and Checkout domain(this uses another secure domain license)

  • Language C - Non-secure Web Store domain with NetSuite standard checkout domain or subdomain (this does not use a secure domain license)

To obtain additional secure domain licenses, contact your account manager.

Free Up a Secure Domain License

You can free up a license already in use by replacing the Custom Checkout domain with a default checkout subdomain. To do this. follow the steps in the To set up a secure subdomain for checkout: procedure to replace the custom checkout domain with a default checkout subdomain.

Warning

If any of your customized scripts or functionalities have the checkout domain name hard coded in them, ensure that you edit them beforehand. Otherwise, they may stop functioning as soon as you replace the custom checkout domain with a default checkout subdomain.

When you have a free secure domain slot available, you can use this slot to set up a secure Web Store domain or combined Web Store and Checkout domain.
