Your DNS record is configured correctly.

Your DNS record is configured incorrectly.

This error can have several causes. These include:

  • You might have used your root domain to host several services causing this issue.

For example, if you are using the same root domain for your website and to setup email campaigns, you cannot use a CNAME to point your root domain to NetSuite shopping servers. Problems can occur when multiple DNS records are assigned to one root domain name.

  • You may have entered the wrong CNAME(Alias) or IP address in your DNS record.

  • You are using a DNS A record that routes the request to NetSuite via a third-party server or CDN, which is using the wrong URL or IP address.

  • The domain is a ‘fake’ domain, that is, it is configured in NetSuite but a corresponding DNS record is not available. This is typically the case when domains are set up on individual machines for testing.

To resolve these issues, consider the following options:

  • Do not use your root domain for multiple services.

If you absolutely must use the same root domain for multiple services, follow the best practices described in Website Domains and Email Hosting.

  • Ensure that you are using the correct CNAME (Alias) for the domain in the DNS record. See Obtain the CNAME (Alias) for a Domain for more information.

  • If you are using an A record, ensure that you are using the correct IP address for your account data center. See Static A Record for more information.
