The SuiteCommerce Map & Contact Info extension lets you embed a third-party map and include contact information on your website using Site Management Tools. You can select various layout settings such as map position and section height. You can enter additional information such as opening hours, and include your phone number and email address. You can choose to display icons beside your contact details or hide your web store’s background color as required.

Important

SuiteCommerce extensions are only available if provisioned and set up in your account. For more information, see NetSuite SuiteCommerce Extensions.

You can add a map and contact information to multiple areas on your website using Site Management Tools (SMT). For more information, see SMT Overview.

To add a map and contact information:

  1. In your website, navigate to the page where you want to add a map and contact information.

  2. Log in to SMT.

  3. In Edit mode, click Add on the Site Management toolbar.

  4. Drag the Map & Contact Info content type to the page.

    Note

If you do not see this content type, check that the extension has been installed and is active. Click the Settings button on the Site Management toolbar to access the Content Manager. Drag the content type from the Inactive Content Types list to the Active Content Type list.

You can drag the Map & Contact Info content type to multiple areas on the page:

    Area

    Content displays on...

    all pages

any page that contains that area.

    page type

    any page of that type.

    this page

only the page to which you added it.

  5. In the General tab:

    1. In the Name field, enter a description of your new content.

See Content Tags and Filter Tools.

    2. Set the content visibility options.

      See Visibility Dates.

    3. In the Map Position field, select the layout of the map and the contact information.

In mobile screens, the map and contact information sections stack in order depending on whether you choose left or right position.

    4. In the Tags field, enter keywords that help you filter your content in the Review Changes list.

See Content Tags and Filter Tools.

  6. In the Map & Contact Info tab:

    1. Enter the title you want to display at the top of the Map & Contact Info box in the Header field.

    2. In Map HTML Snippet, paste the HTML code of your map location.

For optimum display, you should nest the embedded map HTML code within an iframe element. The size of the map is determined by the section height.

You can use third–party map services such as Google and OpenStreetMap, among others.

For example, in Google Maps, to get the HTML code to embed a map, see Google Maps Help.

    3. In the Business Address & Information field, you can enter information about your business such as your postal address, opening hours or special instructions.

You can use basic HTML formatting tags such as <strong> for bold text, <em> for italic, and <li> for bullet lists, for example. When entering your text, you should enclose any body text with <p> tags and use <h> tags to create headers.

    4. In Primary Phone Number, enter the main phone number for your business.

      Note

In mobile screens, customers see a button with the text “Call us” and can call directly when they tap the button.

This text is hidden in SMT. You can change the default text by accessing the Phone Button Text field in NetSuite and replacing the default value in the Validation & Defaulting tab.

    5. In Primary Email Address, enter the email address you want customers to use to contact you.

      Note

In mobile screens, customers see a button with the text “Contact us” and can send an email when they tap the button.

This text is hidden in SMT. You can change the default text by accessing the Email Button Text field in NetSuite and replacing the default value in the Validation & Defaulting tab.

    6. Select the Hide Background Color box if you do not want the background color to display.

You can use this option when your theme contains a background that makes it difficult to read the contact information.

    7. Select the Hide Icons box if you do not want to display icons next to your phone number and email address.

  7. Click Save.

If you have not published your map & contact information content and you decided to remove it, you can discard it.
