When you link your Google Universal Analytics and Google AdWords you can obtain a broad picture of your customer behavior from add click, through site activity and conversion. This analysis enables you to track the effectiveness of your ad campaigns and make adjustments to improve the effectiveness of your campaigns.

Perform these procedures to set up AdWords and link to your Google Universal Analytics.

To create a conversion tag and auto-tagging:

  1. Login to Google AdWords.

  2. Go to Tools > Conversion and create a new Conversion Tag.

  3. Set up all the values and click save.

  4. Check the Conversion code to retrieve the ID and the label of the Conversion Tag. You set these values in the custom modules to trigger the conversions.

To set Google Analytics and Google AdWords to use auto-tagging:

  1. Login to Google Analytics.

  2. Go to Admin.

  3. Select your account in the Account section.

  4. In the Property section select your site.

  5. In the Product Linking group under Property, click AdWords Linking

  6. Add a New Link Group.

  7. Select your AdWords account and click Save.

  8. Login to your AdWords account.

  9. Go to Linked Accounts.

  10. Click View Details under Google Analytics.

  11. Select your Site, Property and View and Save.

  12. Then go to Preferences and make sure the Auto-tagging feature is on.

To enable Google AdWords:

  1. Select the domain to configure at Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Configuration.

  2. In the SuiteCommerce Configuration record, navigate to the Integrations tab and the Google AdWords Subtab.

  3. Set feature properties as required. For more information on each configurable property, see Google Universal Analytics Subtab.

  4. Save the Configuration record.

To enable Google AdWords (pre-Vinson):

  1. Create a custom module that includes the SC.Shopping.Configuration, SC.MyAccount.Configuration, or SC.Checkout.Configuration object as a dependency.

  2. Extend the googleAdWordsConversion object to set the id, value, and label to the corresponding values for the conversion tag you created in your Google AdWords account. See To create a conversion tag and auto-tagging:.
